I think Fort Wayne is aloof towards bicycles. We have the bike paths. But a lot of them are full of dangerous debris like glass. Rudisill street is a good example of that. The paths are appreciated but they seem (and are treated) like an after thought. It would also be nice if they wouldn’t abruptly stop at such random places. The Main street path headed east is an example of that. I really enjoy riding the widened sidewalk that was installed on Hanna street. But it only goes so far. I usually ride side streets because I feel more accepted there. As more bike paths are installed on the main streets, I feel like bikes will gradually be accepted there also.

We agree! More bike lanes, and protected bike lanes will improve the quality of life for our cycling community.
